NASHVILLE, TN – February 1, 2005 – Each year since 1998, EXHIBITOR magazine, the resource for corporate exhibit and event managers and marketing executives, has bestowed their highly regarded All-Star Awards to the industry’s best exhibit and event professionals. Camille Ellison, Sponsorship Marketing for FedEx Services, was named the All-Star Award winner for 2004.

The annual All-Star Awards honor trade show exhibit and corporate event professionals who have developed innovative solutions and techniques that have improved their companies’ programs dramatically. Each winner receives a feature article in the February issue of EXHIBITOR, along with a trophy and a posting on the Awards Wall at EXHIBITOR Show.

Tracy Mullendore, 1220 Exhibits’ Senior Account Manager, was delighted to hear the news of her client’s honor. “Exhibitor couldn’t have made a better choice than Camille. She is a wonderful person, a great client to work with and has really done amazing things in a short time at FedEx. Speaking on behalf of the entire 1220 team, ‘Congratulations Camille!’”

What Camille Ellison has done for FedEx Services is revolutionize the trade show program, substantially reducing redundant costs and at the same time tripling qualified leads. In 2002 when Ms. Ellison was given corporate responsibility for the FedEx trade show program, the five FedEx operating companies were individually attending 200 shows and events with no thought to consistency of message and lead generation or to cross promotion. Ms. Ellison developed a plan, dubbed “Compete Collectively”, which manages to delicately address the individual needs of the respective operating companies, while presenting one consistent FedEx message at a slate of 250 carefully selected shows. The operating companies share the same 1220 built exhibit, eliminating redundant space, labor, drayage and shipping costs. They realize additional cost efficiencies by leveraging shared ad and promotional buys and sharing templates for pre-show mailers and collateral. Overall, FedEx has realized about $300,000 in savings. The efficiencies have paid off in the number and quality of leads, something which management is well aware. Ms. Ellison has been rewarded with a 35% budget increase and the FedEx Marketing Achievement Award.

Ms. Ellison relied on 1220 Exhibits to design and build the FedEx corporate exhibit that represents the “Compete Collectively” message of the operating companies. “Every show FedEx attends many people compliment FedEx staff on the exhibit 1220 created for us. Working with 1220 on the entire project was truly a wonderful experience. Everything 1220 does is of the highest quality and precision. I’m required to wear many hats in my position and knowing 1220 is managing our exhibit program allows me to worry about one less thing,” stated Ms. Ellison.
