NASHVILLE, TN – July 30, 2004 – 1220 Exhibits has made major investments in state-of-the-art graphics equipment to bring all of their graphics capabilities in house. 1220 Exhibits Operations Manager Dan Chadwick points to the new high-speed wide format photographic printer as the center of all the excitement, “The Lightjet 430 is going to impress all of our customers. The output is brilliant.” In addition to the Lightjet, 1220 Exhibits has added a 52" Kreonite KM-IV Digital roller transport processor to chemically develop the output from the Lightjet and an Orca III 60 Laminator. Also, the graphics area has been remodeled to accommodate all of this new equipment.
1220 Exhibits President Kevin Barber puts the new investment in perspective, “We’re all very excited about the new Lightjet and the work this new equipment is going to produce for our customers. Both our museum and trade show customers are now going to receive the finest quality graphics at a reduced cost as part of their one-stop shopping at 1220. The substantial savings we achieve by handling all graphics work under our huge roof, rather than farming much of it out, will now be past on to all our customers.”
1220 Exhibits’ customers share the excitement. Sean Gettelfinger, Exhibit Coordinator for DeRoyal, took the time to thank 1220, “I wanted to write and tell you how pleased I was with the recent graphic production work 1220 Exhibits did for us. The graphics were part of a package that we were getting ready for a show to change the overall message of our booth. We decided to have 1220 produce some and another company produce the rest. Well, it turned out that when we got to the show the 1220 graphics were right on the money and the others were not. When it comes to total show satisfaction, 1220 is there. Thanks.”
Adding to the list of satisfied museum and trade show customers is a growing number of customers looking to 1220 Exhibits to supply graphics only as well as customers in previously untapped markets like airport advertising, point of purchase (POP) displays, fine art photographic reproduction, and entertainment graphics. These new customers are after the quality that can only be created by the Océ LightJet® 430, the most award-winning wide format photo laser printer ever.
“The fact that complete quality control is back in our hands and the big decrease in turnaround time we get from this very fast machine make this investment a smart move for us,” notes Dan Chadwick. “The true photographic process of the Lightjet is so much better than inkjet quality. The Lightjet makes a drastic improvement in color and the printed text is razor sharp.”
