1220 Opens Staten Island Museum at Snug Harbor

The Staten Island Museum expanded its exhibitions into a renovated historic building at Snug Harbor in September 2015. The new location added 10,000 square feet of art and natural science exhibitions to the Staten Island Museum campus. The new exhibit space is housed within the interior of a 19th century landmarked structure built in 1879, the museum features over 250 artifacts not previously on display installed in new casework spread across four galleries.
